Delicious Link Dump– November 30th through December 3rd

Obama Ecstasy pills hit the streets – I knew they were on something.

A gay secession manifesto – Careful what you ask for. Your opponents just may support you in this whole heartedly.

Is Facebook Losing its Coveted Demographic? – Duh. Who wants to use the same service as their parents? That doesn't take a genius to figure out.

A slightly unfortunate Twitter billboard – Sad someone got suspended from their job for a week over this. It's just a someone humorous accident…not that big of a deal.

20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer – If given the same opportunity as water, I believe beer could have created an even Grander Canyon.

Stoplight Redesign – I like the idea. Wondering why they didn't build a mount for cameras right in.

The End Of The CrunchPad – Sucks. I was hoping to get one of these instead of the Apple tablet someday. I cain't have nuthin' nice!

Unemployment Growth on a Map – Pretty interesting graphic here that demonstrates how tough the economy is becoming.

Delicious Link Dump– November 1st through November 4th

Twitter Shenanigans in Brevard County – I suspect someone may be overestimating their relevancy. I just haven't been here long enough to determine who that is in this case.

Welcome to Marikafka County, Arizona – Where the only way you can protect your attorney/client privilege is to waive your attorney/client privilege. This video of a court official stealing documents from a defense attorney's desk is unbelievable. Even more insane is what followed.

Amazon Turns On The Twitter Pump To Fuel Referral Fees – This is a good thing! People who are using their Twitter feeds just to sell will be ignored anyway. But if you're using it to genuinely recommend/refer people to cool products, they should recognize that. Nothing wrong with getting a little juice for helping them out.

Gore’s Dual Role in Spotlight – Back in college they called him "Double Down"–he was known for replacing most of the cards in the deck with aces.

Fire Your Clients! – Maybe good advice for people outside of real estate as well.

Dismantling America: Part II – Thomas Sowell's got smarts real good. If you don't subscribe to his RSS feed, well…you don't got them kinda smarts.

iPhone vs. I Phone – Is it a coincidence I went with an Android phone? Probably, but still…

Google Wave User’s Guide – Alternate title: Sudoku For Optimists

Delicious Link Dump– October 9th through October 12th

I Married a Mad Man – This sounds more like Mad Men: The Movie

The End of the Email Era – Someone faxed this to me. I made photocopies and sent it to several friends via USPS: "Email, stuck in the era of attachments, seems boring compared to services like Google Wave…"

Hot Pink Mess – Oh. My.

Rob Golding » phpBB3 WSOD (White Screen of Death) – Thanks to these guys for the solution. Short answer…log in to the admin panel and clear the cache. This is something they need to fix. Oh…maybe I should check for an update while I'm at it. 😀

10 things you need to stop tweeting about – I don't violate many of these too often. There are so many other ways to get people on Twitter mad at you without even trying.

The Nobel Intentions Prize – I'm so glad BHO won the Nobel Peace Prize. It's brought out the comedic genius in lots of people on Twitter.

Levels of business intelligence – Nice article that 'splains a lot.

Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize – "…some sort of bizarre Onion gag?" Now that's funny.

Man, We Should Have Elected THIS Guy!

Ha

“Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren,” Obama said in a 2006 floor speech that preceded a Senate vote to extend the debt limit. “America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.”

Three cheers for staying on message! Ahh…might as well make the four, six, twelve cheers!

Vast Triple Bogey Conspiracy

The media is once again distorting facts, this time about President Obama making triple bogey while golfing.

Let’s set the record straight. The foursome he was playing in took 19 strokes on the par 4 hole collectively. Once the strokes were redistributed amongst the four gentleman they all scored the hole as a par.

Out of fairness, the remaining three strokes were cut up and distributed to secret service agents, a greens keeper, and a chick driving a beer cart. These strokes will be applied to their next round of golf without penalty provided they are used before November 30, 2009. After that they will go to the public kitty where amateur golfers playing on the nations public courses will be charged with one penalty stroke or pay an 1% luxury tax on their greens fees for the 2010 tax year.

What’s important is that the economy, the climate, and 8 baby seals were all rescued in the process.

Post Office Competition. Well?

The Missus and I were talking about the comments President Obama made the other day about Fedex/UPS/USPS and competition. Lots of people are laughing about it, but here’s someone breaking it down to levels beyond scientific.

It’s fascinating how it all comes down to the post office, again and again, in the history of public policy. And so it is in our time, with Obama’s admission/gaffe/slip concerning the post office and its analogy to what he wants to do with healthcare.

A long read, but worth it.

More Right Wing Propoganda

It’s coming once again from that mouthpiece for the Republican Party, Fox News CNN Money–5 key freedoms you LOSE under Obama’s health care:

  • Freedom to choose what’s in your plan
  • Freedom to be rewarded for healthy living, or pay your real costs
  • Freedom to choose high-deductible coverage
  • Freedom to keep your existing plan
  • Freedom to choose your doctors

If that’s too much reading for you, George Michael has a little sumpin’ to say about it. Plus there are pretty girls.

Inauguration to Impeachment Call Times Decreasing!

With our newfound ability to reach blatant disregard for the Constitution information more rapidly, the calls for impeachment of the holder of the top executive position in the land are speeding up proportionally.

This is no hyperbole. I am not simply spouting off. I believe, and will from this point forward, work to see, Barack Obama impeached, charged, indicted, tried, and imprisoned, for the crimes he and his cronies have committed against this nation, and its people.

That was quick. Politically, wouldn’t it be more prudent to hold off for a while and give him the chance to anger more of the people who helped him get elected?

Millions of Small Businesses Created or Saved!

Edgelings.com » The Obama Surprise.

Indeed, you can make the case that the sole contribution the Obama administration has made to entrepreneurship in America to date is to force all of those millions of unemployed people to desperately set up their own businesses in order to survive.

This doesn’t even take into account how much entrepreneurship in general is damaged when companies deemed “too big to fail” are bailed out, effectively guaranteeing market share where there has already been market rejection.

But here’s my favorite part…

High tech CEOs are supposed to be the smartest people you’ve ever met. And most of them are. But when it comes to politics and dealing inside the Beltway, experience has taught me that these men and women are fools, dupes and rubes – and too arrogant to realize it. They thought they were electing one of them, and someone pliable enough to help them succeed while at the same time crushing their competition.

It’s kind of ironic. These guys should know better than anyone that catchy slogans don’t cut it…you have to bring the goods.

Campaign Propaganda

Here’s mine. Hope and Change have been monopolized and bastardized, so I figured I’d take a different angle. Vote for me, and I promise you’ll have plenty of fodder for second guessing and criticism.

Smokers Hacking Up A Lung Over Federal Tax Increase

Wait. But wh…huh? You mean a tax on an industry/corporation is being passed on to a consumer? Does O’Bama know about this?!?!?!  That’s not fair!  LOL!

But major tobacco companies began incorporating that increase into their prices to wholesalers in March. And the companies, wholesalers and retailers in many cases gave prices a boost beyond the tax increase, in part to make up for an expected drop in sales caused by the hike, some of them said.
